Latest Shortcuts Fusion Updates

We have released some updates to Shortcuts Fusion. These changes affect your Shortcuts system, as well as your S.M.A.R.T. System.

These updates will take effect when you use Shortcuts Updates to upgrade to the latest version.

New features


Appointment resizing

  • When you move an appointment from one employee’s column to another, it will automatically resize according to the amount of time that employee needs to complete the service, as defined by their employee level. To find out more, watch this video.


Appointment Book warnings

  • When you are creating an appointment, a warning message will appear in orange on the Service Selection Screen if:
    • An employee is not available for the full length of a service
    • An employee is not capable of performing a service
    • An appointment clashes with another appointment
    • A required resource is not available.
  • When you are moving or changing an appointment, a warning message will appear if:
    • An employee is not available for the full length of a service
    • An employee is not capable of performing a service
    • An appointment clashes with another appointment
    • A client’s appointment overlaps another one of their appointments
    • An appointment is moved after it has been checked out. 
  • If any of these occur, the colour of the appointment will change to apricot, so that you can easily see if there are any issues. These warnings will also be shown in the Appointment Touch Tip.

Fixes and improvements


Performance

  • If you have a large number of Loyalty or Membership cards, your Shortcuts system will no longer be slowed down.


Point of Sale

  • You can now print receipts from the Transaction Screen without receiving an error message.
  • You can now change the payment type for group transactions, regardless of whether you have any security mode enabled.
  • The "current session" on the Transactions Screen now correctly shows all payment type amounts.


Appointment Book

  • On the Appointment Touch Tip, the client alert message will now be abbreviated if the message is very long. The full message can be viewed in the client card.
  • You can now filter the Appointment Book by typing in search criteria, rather than selecting from a list.
  • When you send an SMS to a valid phone number via an appointment, the following message will appear: “Client has been contacted successfully.”
  • When you move multiple appointments in week view, the process is now cleaner and smoother.


End of Day Wizard

  • You will now see the accurate “over” and “under” amounts under "cash difference" on the End of Day Summary Screen.
  • When you are entering the float into the End of Day Wizard, the "cash recorded" amount now takes into account the float balance from the start of the day.


Security Log

  • The Security Log will now show the employee alias instead their first name and last name, avoiding any confusion about which employee did what.
  • When a client uses Self Check-in, or if a Self Check-in visit is delayed, this will now be recorded in the Security Log.


Performance Screen

  • You can now see the revenue per hour on the Performance Screen.


Reports

  • We have made the following improvements to the End of Day Till Balance Report:
    • This report now shows accurate "snapshot in time" figures.
    • This report is now consistent with the updated Transaction Totals Screen in Point of Sale.
    • The "total cash" and "less cash movements" figures will now be accurately displayed.
    • In the "cash breakdown", cash movements have been grouped and are now consistent with the "banking" and "less cash movement" figures above.
    • "Outstanding petty cash" has been renamed to "petty cash returned/outstanding" and includes the original petty cash amount taken out when petty cash is returned.
    • The "discount" total now includes membership discounts. 
    • The "discount" value now correctly reflects the promotional discount applied on sales involving more than one of the same item. 
  • We have made the following improvements to the Session Till Balance Report:
    • The "cash to bank" figure is now correctly calculated when the "give tips directly from register" option is turned on.
  • We have made the following improvements to the Trading Summary Report:
    • When you refund a client account payment, it will now display the correct balance on the Trading Summary Report.
    • This report will now run much more quickly when you are reporting across large date ranges.
    • Tips no longer count towards tickets, visits or clients calculations. 
    • A "series redemption" amount is now displayed in the "liability" section when a series is redeemed.
    • The following transactions will no longer count as visits or clients: program signup, program change, program payment, gift certificate sale, gift card sale, gift card adjustment, gift card reissue.
  • We have made the following improvements to the End of Day Till Balance Report:
    • This report now includes discretionary discounts. 
  • We have made the following improvements to the POS Voided Transactions Report:
    • Voided group sales are now displayed, and voided refund transactions are now showing the correct values.


Client Dashboard

  • The client alert message will now be displayed in red so that it is easier to see. To find out more, watch this video.


Walk-in Manager

  • You can now see whether a client is a new or returning client, via Appointment Tags in Walk-in Manager.
  • The service price will now be displayed as per the employee’s level pricing.


Wallboard

  • When you move a visit between the "in-service" and "waiting" columns in Walk-in Manager, the correct employee name will now always be displayed.
  • When you select a specific employee, this employee’s name will be displayed on the Wallboard.


Loyalty/Memberships

  • Discounts gained from negative line redemptions are now appearing correctly in the Promotion Activity report.


Call Centre

  • If you are using Call Centre, you can now filter the Appointment Book according to whether a team member is rostered on, and by the gender of a team member.
